Packing Your LTL Freight for Shipping

If you are in charge of packaging the LTL freight for your company and getting it ready for shipping, you are going to find that just like any other form of shipping, there are three basic forms of packing that will be accepted by most shippers. The first is palletizing and this is perhaps the most common method as you and stack smaller packages on the pallet and plastic wrap them in place securely.

The second is to actually build a crate for the item or items you are shipping and the crate can be built onto or around a pallet to make it easier to move around. Finally you can put everything into a cardboard box and hope for the best as this type of packaging does not lend itself to much in the way of protection. For more information on packing your freight, contact LTL Freight Shipping and we will put you in touch with a shipper that can help you.
